INTERAKSI BEBERAPA KULTIVAR KAPAS DENGAN LIMA DAERAH PENGEMBANGAN DI SULAWASI SELATAN
Abstract
This research was carried out in Jeneponto, Takalar, Bantaeng, Bulukumba and Bone from January to July 2004. Experiment was arranged in randomized complete block design consisted of eight varieties and two levels of fertilization with three replications. Varieties used were HSCY-92, HSM-19, HSD-51, HSC-128, HSC-138, HSC-148, HSC-188 and Kanesia-7. The two levels of fertilization were recommendation dosage (150kg urea + 100kg SP-36 + 50kg KCl + 50kg ZA per hectare) and recommended dosage for china hybrid cotton (400kg urea + 100kg SP-36 + 400kg KCl +150kg KCl per hectare). Plant components observed were cotton productivity, number of boll, plant height, branch diameter and number of generative branch. Results showed that cultivar HSC-188 promised high result and was able to adapt to proper environment. Interaction of cultivar with location was shown by seven cultivars except HSC-188. Cultivars of HSC-128 in Jeneponto; HSC-128 and HSC-148 in Takalar; HSCY-92 and HSC-128 in Bantaeng; HSCY-92 in Bulukumba and HSD-51 in Bone gained highest yield. From eight cultivars examined, only HSCY-92 and HSM-19 represented cultivars with high yield stability, genetic control on productivity. It was determined by high estimation value heritability of 65%.
