KAJIAN BERBAGAI SISTEM TANAM PADA DUA VARIETAS UNGGUL BARU PADI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL PADI SAWAH
Abstract
This research aimed to obtain an efficient and the best planting method on two new best rice varieties upon growth and yield of rice. The experiment was conducted at Bontolebang–North Galesong, Takalar–South Sulawesi, in dry season of 2003. Planting date was on May 27th and harvest one on September 15th, 2003. Treatments were arranged in split plot design with three replications. Main plots were Gilirang and Konawe varieties. Sub-plots were planting method consisted tile-planting system with (20×20)cm plant spacing; legowo–2:1 planting system with (20×20×10)cm plant spacing; legowo–4:1 planting system with (20×20×10)cm plant spacing. Result revealed that Gilirang achieved yield 830 kg ha-1 higher than that of Konawe. Legowo–2:1 planting system achieved yield 549 kg ha-1 higher than that of legowo–4:1 planting system and 616 kg ha-1 higher than that of tile-planting system. Gilirang variety with legowo–2:1 planting system achieved yield 603 kg ha-1 higher than that of Gilirang variety with legowo–4:1plant system and 908 kg ha-1 higher than that of Gilirang variety with tile-planting system. Konawe variety with legowo–2:1 planting system achieved yield 323 kg ha-1 higher than that of Konawe with legowo–4:1 planting system and 492 kg ha-1 higher than that of Konawe variety with tile-planting system.
