TANGGAP BEBERAPA VARIETAS KENTANG (Solanum tuberosum) TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN PUPUK ANORGANIK
Abstract
An experiment was conducted in Temanggung, Central Java, 1150m asl and regosol soil type from December 2004 to May 2005. It aimed to determine the best variety and package of fertilizer as shown by highest growth and yield of potato. Treatments were arranged in a split-plot design with four replications. Main plots were four potato varieties, i.e. Atlantik, Hertha, Granola and 095. While subplots were two packages of fertilizers, i.e. NPK compound fertilizer of 1 t Phonska ha-1 and a package of 300kg urea, 300kg SP-36 and 200kg KCl per hectare. Results showed that Hertha variety gave highest plant (72.90cm), widest stem diameter (71.23cm) and the highest number of branch (4.80). Highest total number of tuber (1341.0 tuber plot-1) and total weight of tuber (72.58 kg plot-1) were reached by Granola and followed by Hertha (994.5 tuber plot-1 and (66.56 kg plot-1). Highest number and weight of tuber were reached by Hertha (grade A) and followed by Granola (grade B and C). Either compound fertilizer 1 ton Phonska ha-1 or package of 300kg urea, 300kg SP-36 and 200kg KCl per hectare could be used in potato cultivation.
