KAJIAN BERBAGAI SISTIM TANAM PADA DUA VARIETAS UNGGUL BARU PADI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL PADI SAWAH
Abstract
This experiment aimed to determine an efficient planting method on two new best rice varieties upon the growth and yield of rice. It was conducted at Bontolebang of North Galesong in Takalar, on dry season of 2003. Planting day was on May 27th and harvesting one on September 15th, 2003. Treatments were arranged in a split plot design with three replications. Main plots were Gilirang and Konawe varieties, while subplot was planting method, consisted of tegel planting system (20×20cm plant spacing); legowo 2:1 planting system (20×20×10cm plant spacing) and legowo 4:1 planting system (20×20×10cm plant spacing). Result indicated that Gilirang achieved yield of 830 kg ha-1 higher than Konawe variety. Legowo 2:1 planting system reached yield that 549 kg ha-1 higher than that of legowo 4:1 planting system, and 616 kg ha-1 higher than that of tegel planting system. Gilirang variety combined with legowo 2:1 planting system achieved yield that 603 kg ha-1 higher than that of Gilirang combined with legowo 4:1 and 908 kg ha-1 higher than that of Gilirang with tegel-system. Konawe variety with legowo 2:1 planting system reached yield that 323 kg ha-1 higher than that of Konawe with legowo 4:1 and 492 kg ha-1 higher than that of Konawe with tegel system.
