Abstract

To increase corn production to cope with population and livestock and industrial development, means to increase corn planting area and productivity in rice field during dry season. Therefore, Integrated Crop Management (ICM) of corn in dryland had been recommended. NPK used in dryland is 200 kg ha-1. Therefore an assessment of NPK dosage for corn in rice field during dry season is needed. Objective was to obtain the dosage of fertilizer NPK-Kujang to achieve best agronomic performances and production on Pioneer-13 hybrid corn. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with five replications. They consisted of 150kg NPK, 200kg urea and 1.5t compost per hectare: 200kg NPK, 200kg urea and 1.5t compost per hectare; 250kg NPK, 200kg urea and 1.5t compost per hectare; 300kg NPK, 200kg urea and 1.5t compost per hectare; and 500kg NPK and 1.5t compost per hectare. Result showed that 250 kg NPK-Kujang ha-1 gave highest corn yield of 9.00 t ha-1, while that of 150 kg NPK ha-1 was 6.87 t ha-1. Significant variables on corn production were plant height and ear length.
