Abstract

Citrus Vein Phloem Degeneration (CVPD) is one
of many important diseases of citrus, caused by
Liberobacter asiaticum bacterium. In Indonesia,
this disease known since 1940. They can be
spreaded by insect vector Diaphorina citri and by
grafting method using infected budwood CVPD.
Citrus has infected by CVPD showed leaf
chlorosis symptom and accumulation of specific
protein which molecular weight 16 kDa (PS16)
that do not found on an another health. The
research goal was to know the initial timing of
accumulation PS16 on the citrus plant infected
CVPD diseases. The result showed that the initial
timing of accumulation PS16 in the citrus infected
CVPD was 14 week after grafting.
