This research was done on Sleman Regency
Yogyakarta during 2004 dry season. The goal of
this research was to know the effect of paddy straw
and soil management which inhibited the mungbean
growth and the effect of allellochemical contents.
Result of the research showed that the completely
land preparation incorporating with stubble
treatment gave the highest inhibition of mungbean
growth especially to plant height, leaf area, and dry
weight of canopy due to nitrogenase activity of the
mungbean nodules.
