Abstract
Lontar germination has an unique pattern
commonly different from other plants or even
with a fellow of monocotyledon class. Initially,
the apocoll shows up, elongates, and penetrates
into the ground to the depth of 40-56 cm, and its
germ needs time quite long, about 12 or 14
months to produce the leaves. Germ pattern
expectedly relates to water limit factor. Research
aims to observed how the pattern of lontar germ
forms if it planted on out of ecology. The results
showed that lontar germination had similar
pattern and similar humidity. The time of leaves
growth were 6 to 8 months faster compared to
the field growth.
