KEPADATAN POPULASI DAN KARAKTERISTIK MORFOLOGI HAMA TANAMAN KELAPA SAWIT Darna spp

Abstract


This research aimed to evaluate population density of larvae and morphological characteristics, egg stadia, larvae, pupae and imago of Darna spp in sawit palm. The research was conducted from September 2003 to May 2004, in Afdeling V of plantation of  sawit  palms at PT Letawa Agro lestari in Countryside Tikke, Pasang Kayu, Mamuju of North of Provinsi of West Sulawesi, and in the Laboratory of Plant Pest and Disease Department Faculty Of Agriculture, Tadulako University. Research used the survey method. Areal perception divided into 5 blocks follow the diagonal line. Results of this research indicated that the population density of larvae of Darna spp. equal to 61,60 - 83,87 larvae / frond, morphology characteristics as follows;  eggs were globular and browns yellow 1,31 mm in length and 0,89 mm in width. Young larvae were pale brown, 1,65 mm in length and 2,85 mm in width. Adult larvae were pale brown 10,03 mm in length and  4,29 mm in width. Pupa were elipse in shape 6,52 mm in length and 5,16 mm in width, Imago were brown 8,04 mm in length and 9,88 mm in width.
